Default Superb Driving Skills

Every now and then you meet a driver on the roads that warrant a mention because of their superlative drving skill. Today I got to the top of a 2-lane slip road at a roundabout waiting to exit after coming off a dual carriageway. From my right came this car left hand indicator on with a woman driver who proceded to turn down the slip road I was about to exit, only to be stopped half way down by another car coming up by blocking her path as I watched in my mirrors in amazement.

Now, I must hand it to this woman, with 45 years driving, I do not believe I could even have made that manoevre as easy as she did, she made it look so easy, a move which is considerably difficult because the turn would necessiate steering the car at such a sharp angle off the roundabout it looked impossible, not forgetting the two no entry signs and the white lines at the exit of the road she drove past. Nowhere have I ever seen an exit from a roundabout at this angle.

As my wife commented to me that woman is a danger and should never be allowed on the roads.

Everyone makes mistakes driving from time to time but that particular driving move in that situation was utter gross stupidity or driving ignorance of the highest order. If she drives like that I just wonder what her driving is like at other times, probably the type that gets to a roundabout with no traffic and stops dead and wait to see what is coming or the type who drives with fog lights on 5 days after the last fog.

Sounds like a typical woman driver to me.
